Under the patronage of the Minister of Education, Dr Hasan Mneimenh, represented by Dr Nazih Khayyat, the Center for Research and Training (C R T) held its Eighth Professional Day (PD 8), entitled: "Schools with Positive Climates" on Saturday, April 21, 2010 in Hariri High School II campus. PD 8 was devoted to the public educational all over Lebanon. Consequently, it was attended by around 220 teachers from public schools, 45 student teachers from the Faculty of Education at the Lebanese University, and a number of professionals from the Ministry of Education and some professors from the Faculty of Education at the Lebanese University. Attendees from the public schools came from all over Lebanon and from very far places to Beirut.

Next, a key note speech was delivered by Mrs Jihan Koumaiha, Director of Elementary School at HHS 2. The key note speech entitled : "Quality Teaching in a Climate of Peer Coaching" shed light on current instructional supervision practices of teaching, teacher improvement and professional development.
Following the key note speech, attendees enjoyed a coffee break in HHS II Elementary School playground. Then, they attended 16 workshops according to their specialty and grade levels taught.
It is hoped that the professional days conducted by C R T would catalyze the professional growth of its attendees by acting as an intellectual and professional forum for teachers to explore recent and up-to-date theoretical and practical issues regarding the teaching/learning process.
