HHS 2 TAMAM Team (Nada Akoum, Amina Harbali, Enja Osman and Sara Mukallid) participated in the three days workshop held at the American University of Beirut on February 26- 28, 2010. The workshop was entitled "Leading School Improvement" and was attended by all TAMAM teams from 9 schools from three countries: Lebanon, Jordan and Kingdom of Saudia Arabia.
TAMAM or School Based reform Project is an effort carried out by the American University of Beirut and funded by The Arab Though Foundation to improve schools in the Arab World starting from success stories in some schools with initiative.
The Opening ceremony was attended by Provost of AUB Dr Dallal and Dr. Abdul Mineem from the Arab Thought Foundation. Both Dr. Dallal and Dr. Abdul Mineem emphasized the importance of TAMAM project and the great hopes that are built on it concerning school improvement in the Arab World. The various activities were conducted by Dr. Saouma boujaoude, Dr. Murad Jurdak and Dr. Rima Karami, the coordinators of the project.
The workshop was a great opportunity for building and sharing vision on the next phases of TAMAM project. It was also an opportunity for sharing expertise between various school members.
